GEORGE
YOUNCE & JAKE HESS
FORM THE OLD FRIENDS QUARTET
Award winning bass singer George Younce joins one of Southern Gospel musicıs legendary lead singers, Jake Hess, to announce the formation of a new quartet called THE OLD FRIENDS QUARTET, along with former Cathedral tenor, Ernie Haase and the multi-talented, Wesley Pritchard, most recognized from his appearances on the Gaither Homecoming Videos.
Upon completion of their brand new album, Encore, produced by Bill Gaither, Wesley Pritchard, and Ben Speer, The Old Friends Quartet has current plans for an exclusive tour with limited concert appearances. The much anticipated new group will have their debut concert on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at the Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
George Younce and Jake Hess together have over 100 collective years in full-time Southern Gospel music, and are looking forward to this new tour with youthful excitement. ³When you get to be my and Jakeıs age, youıre just happy to be anywhere,² Younce laughs. The two senior members of the group join the talents of Daywind recording artist Ernie Haase, and singer/producer, Wesley Pritchard.
The Old Friends Tour will be promoted exclusively by Premier/Showcase Productions, who also promoted the Cathedrals Farewell Tour in the fall of 1999.
